Deleting your account and data in Districts

This is an English translation provided for convenience. In case of any discrepancy, the Polish version available at districts.pl/delete-account prevails.

Districts lets you delete your Account and the related data without reinstalling the App.

Data controller and contact

The controller of Districts user data is Adrian Kominek, a natural person not conducting business activity, running the service under the Districts brand, with the correspondence address ul. Radlińska 31, 44-286 Wodzisław Śląski, Poland.

Contact: contact@districts.pl.

Deleting your Account in the App

  1. Open Districts and sign in.
  2. Go to Profile.
  3. Open the Danger zone section.
  4. Select Delete account.
  5. Read the information about the consequences and confirm.

The operation removes the basic Account data from the active system, revokes access and signs you out. Deletion cannot be undone.

Deleting your Account outside the App

Send a message to contact@districts.pl from the email address linked to the Account. Use “Districts account deletion” as the subject. If you cannot access that address, provide your nickname and information that lets us safely confirm that the Account belongs to you.

We may ask for additional verification. We never ask for your password or sign-in token, and we do not require more data than necessary.

What deletion covers

To the extent that no further legal basis applies, we delete or irreversibly anonymise:

  • the authentication Account and active sign-in sessions;
  • the email address and sign-in identifiers that remain under the control of Districts;
  • the nickname, profile, avatar, colour, weight and settings;
  • notification tokens;
  • raw GPS samples and routes;
  • step, motion and statistics data assigned solely to the user;
  • Territories, results, achievements and leaderboard links, or their connection to the user;
  • social relations and messages subject to deletion;
  • anti-cheat records without a further legal basis;
  • reports and attachments that are not needed to handle a case or claims.

What may remain

A limited scope of data may remain if it is needed to comply with a legal obligation, to document a request, to protect other people, to examine abuse or to establish, pursue or defend claims.

Part of the shared gameplay history, the map or a conversation may be irreversibly anonymised instead of being physically deleted, if that is needed to preserve the integrity of the service or the rights of other people. Data in secured backups disappears according to the technical rotation cycle and is not restored to ordinary use.

Time of completion

An operation requested in the App runs directly in the active system. We handle requests sent by email without undue delay, as a rule within one month of receipt and successful verification, with the possibility of an extension in the cases provided for by the GDPR.

Deleting selected data

You can ask us to correct or delete selected data without closing your Account. Write to contact@districts.pl and describe the data or the Session. If partial deletion would infringe the rights of other people, the integrity of the game or an obligation to preserve evidence, we will explain the basis for the limitation.

Important

Turning off location, HealthKit, motion, the camera, the photo library or notifications stops future access to the extent controlled by the system, but it does not delete data sent earlier. Uninstalling the App does not delete the Account on the server.

Detailed information about data, recipients and retention is available in the Privacy policy at https://districts.pl/privacy.
